Huskin's Health Sciences Program

Fall 2008 Allied Health Huskin's Bill Program planning is underway at Wake Technical Community College. The college is continuing its commitment to provide all Wake County High School students with access to Allied Health Programs by this unique educational opportunity. Your students are allowed to attend select classes on our campus at no tuition cost to the students or your institution! Please share this invitation with them!

Current Allied Health course offerings:

  • Dental Assisting/Dental Hygiene - Dental Infection/Hazard Control - DEN 111
  • Nursing Assistant I - NAS 101
  • Medical Assisting - Orientation to Medical Assisting - MED 110
  • Medical Assisting - Infection Hazard Control - MED 138 (Pending Approval)
  • Emergency Medical Technician-Basic - EMS 110 (Fall entry only)

The Registration and Orientation process is now streamlined:

  • High School representatives document interested students and call the specific college departmental contacts to pre-register them.
  • Participating students must attend an orientation session on April 23 or 24, 2008 to register for the program and be given specific information for their field of study. Both orientation sessions will be held from 8:30 pm - 5:00 pm at Health Science Campus in the Health Sciences Building (HS) Room 113.
  • Registration documents are completed at this meeting and not sent directly to Wake Tech.
  • Representatives of each college department will be available at this orientation for students and high school teachers’ questions.

You can find the following on this site:

  • Important Dates to Remember
  • Details of course offerings
  • Departmental flyers for specific course and orientation information.
  • Required Documentation for Admissions by Department
  • Wake Tech Health Sciences map
